Fall Launch, Part 2!

I've found the most perfect fall scents, and they're featured in part 2 of the GOOW fall collection! 

First up - my favorite: spiced pumpkin, aged bourbon, clove, and rustic oak meld together in a wonderfully rich fall treat! Find this scent in the Heirloom Pumpkin Foaming Hand Wash and the Spiced Pumpkin Bourbon Body Lotion with Squalane and Ceramides. If you find most pumpkin scents to be too sweet, this may be right up your alley! It's got a great complex depth to it but is undeniably pumpkin-spiced. 

Next up - the most decadent apple body butter ever! Again, if you find most apple scents to be too sweet, this might be a hit! It's got a buttery maple vanilla base with a hint of clove, with apple and cinnamon top notes. It's nostalgic and yet somehow new, all at the same time. Find it in the Apple Crumble Body Butter. 

Now, let's talk about these herbal infused body oils! I love body oils in the fall, winter, and spring, when my skin is the most dry, but most body oils feel greasy to me. And I can't stand feeling an oil slick on my skin, or getting oil all over my clothes and anything I touch or rest my arms on. So I was determined to figure out a blend of oils that would feel super lightweight and absorb quickly - locking in moisture without hanging around on the surface. Instead of using fragrance oils, I decided to do herbal infusions to add the benefits of some superstar plants (and their very delicate scents). 

The Lemon Verbena & Ginger Root Herbal Infused Body Oil has a hint of what smells to me like a cookie - a bit ginger with a hint of lemon. It's a barely-there level of scent (not something that will linger, so you can wear your favorite scented lotions or perfumes if you'd like). It makes for a satisfying experience applying the body oil, whether you use it on damp skin after a bath or shower, or on dry skin before your favorite moisturizer, or as a massage oil. The Blue Lotus & Licorice Root infusion has a less noticeable scent - a hint of earthy licorice root. Read more about the skin benefits on the product page! 

Of course, I don't use fragrance in my facial products, so the rest are unscented. In my never-ending quest to remove my makeup quickly and without stripping my already-dry skin, I've formulated a simple micellar water with clean ingredients that doesn't leave my face feeling tight. Drumroll, please - the magic is SQUALANE! Could I have used a cheaper oil? Sure. Would it feel as good on the skin? Nope. (Believe me - I tried them all!) I'm not here to make bargain bin skin care. I'm here to make high quality skin care with clean ingredients and simple formulas - so every ingredient has a purpose and nothing is filler, priced as reasonably as I can for small-batch production. And just like my Creamy Cleanser, I'm incredibly proud of this Hydra-Cleanse Squalane Micellar Water! 

Last but not least, mask season is not just for Halloween! It's facial mask season, and while I love clay masks for their purifying and cleansing abilities, I do not love how much they dry out my skin! What if there was a clay mask that didn't rob your skin of all of its natural oil? I did a deep dive on the oil absorption of various clays and came up with a strategy to avoid over-applying the clay. Not only does the stick format make it easy to apply just a very thin layer of clay to the skin, but it's also less messy than traditional clay masks! This stick combines regular and pink kaolin clays which are very gentle and absorb less oil than some other clays - which is key for those of us with dry skin! We want the clay to absorb the bad stuff without taking all of the good stuff with it. So if you've been avoiding clay masks because you have dry skin, give the Hydra-Clay Mask Stick a try.
