The Moon Phase Softening Mask is part of the Adventurer's Apothecary collection: a two part ritual mask built for skin that's dry, dehydrated, mature, or reactive and wants comfort, not confrontation.

Moondust, the powder half, is formulated with the three mildest kaolin clays we work with (white, purple Brazilian, and pink) alongside 15% colloidal oats and 2% allantoin, ingredients that have been shown to help soothe, soften, and comfort the look and feel of skin. Rice flour adds a gentle physical polish as you rinse.

Moonwater, the elixir half, is formulated with glycerin, 3% panthenol, chamomile extract, and mugwort extract for a calming, hydrating finish.

Mix a scoop of each fresh right before you use it, then smooth a thin layer over clean skin, avoiding the eye and lip areas. Leave it on for 5-15 minutes - don't let it dry all the way to cracking - then splash with warm water, massage for gentle exfoliation, and rinse away for skin that feels calm, soft, and comfortable.

This is a soothing, softening mask, with just a hint of gentle exfoliation, so it's a good fit for skin that finds acids and scrubs too harsh. Unscented and formulated without acids, one set makes about six masks, enough for roughly one moon cycle at once or twice a week. Patch test before first use, and mix only what you'll use, since the fresh paste isn't meant to be stored.

Mask can be purchased on its own, or with optional mixing bowl and spoon, and/or silicone-tipped applicator spatula.

Mix only as much as you will use immediately. The wet paste is not meant to be stored. Each package makes about 6 masks. Use on clean skin 1-2 times per week.

Mix 1 tsp each (or 4 level wooden spoonfuls, or 8-10 half-full squeeze droppers) of phase 1: moondust clay and phase 2: moonwater elixir. Apply a thin layer to face, avoiding eyes and mouth. Wait 5-15 minutes, then splash with warm water, massage, and rinse away.

For dry skin, rinse off prior to complete dry-down - wait for mask to set and when the edges start to dry, remove the mask before it is fully dried and cracking (about 10 minutes).

Store all personal care products in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Keep out of direct streams of water (such as in a shower). Use within 6 months. Avoid dipping fingers directly into product jars to avoid contamination. Use a spatula or spoon instead.

Keep products sealed when not in use.
